Teen Apprentice


Locally, the MWUL YP's will host the 3rd Annual Teen Apprentice. The event will consist of interactive team-based challenges that will promote entrepreneurship and money management. 11 to 17 year old students from Wilmington, New Castle, Bear, Newark and surrounding areas are invited to compete for CASH PRIZES!!!

Special Projects
Coordinator – Full Time

Description:
  Broadly, the MWUL Special Projects Coordinator is chiefly responsible for the coordination and implementation of academy activities and completion of data entry duties related to the education initiative, Achievement Matters!, including assisting with the coordination of other special Urban League projects in the areas of education and health.

Achievement Coach/Tutor – Part Time

Description:  Broadly, the Achievement Coach/Tutor assumes responsibility for providing instructional tutoring aligned with the school, class, and state academic content; the goal is to improve student academic performance through tutorial interventions and to assist students in meeting the educational achievement standards and improvement in test scores. Three core objectives are to facilitate learning with a focus on solving learning challenges; serve as liaison between student, teacher and parent; and to integrate sound learning pathways to meet the needs of the students.  Key to success is impact on student achievement.    This position reports to the Program Manager.
